For Example: Amazon has developed workflows in which photos of new objects snapped from different angles are fed into machine learning software (ERP) so a robot can figure out how to grab something it had never seen half an hour previously.

An ERP system is used and is capable of helping businesses to improve and streamline their workflow and to make better decisions about everything from products to strategy. Al helps in improving these capabilities of ERP by analyzing larger datasets. In addition to this, AI can also be used to read historical data and learn from earlier behavioral patterns.
As discussed above, by analyzing historical data, the systems will be able to suggest the most effective internal work processes. For example: By reading and analyzing an already established workflow, AI will be able to perform the next task and will provide the necessary information to complete the task. This will help in streamlining the workflow and optimize the work processes.

Microsoft’s Project Oxford is now called Cognitive Services. However, Microsoft has added some new features and functionalities. Cognitive Services now consists of a number of intelligent API’s (Application Programming Interface). An API is a software interface which allows a piece of software to interact with other software. These API’s work across the platform and deliver intelligent data through face recognition, voice recognition, and video stabilization etc.

Recently Microsoft has announced that the new NAV 2018 includes artificial intelligence technology. AI through Cognitive Services has become a part of NAV 2018. Therefore, NAV 2018 has functionalities like auto-recognition of images, such as an item, or, in HR context, an employee in a company.
