The program objective is to activate Dynamics NAV | GP | SL ISVs by closely collaborating with you in developing your Dynamics 365 Business Central online offering (Business Central App on AppSource) and to accelerate your SAAS success.

Ready to Go
Validating Business and solution readiness for BC

Applicable To: Partners who have a vertical solution developed in C/SIDE and desire to migrate the solution to BC

As Microsoft transitions its business solution offerings to the Cloud based on Business Central, migrating your ISV solution for Microsoft Dynamics becomes crucial for the future of your business. Through the Microsoft ISV Development Centres, Microsoft offers support to facilitate this transformation.

The program is designed to accelerate your ISV journey to AppSource while minimizing the investment to do so through shared experience.

i) Preparation

A Partner fills out the Ready to Go Validation questionnaire and indicates the current status for each of the topics and provides answers to open questions.

ii) Workshop

4 online workshops for 2 hours each to discuss each relevant topics to assess the solution readiness, potential ways to get ready and agree on the next steps. The participants required from the Partner’s side generally are: Business Lead and Technical Lead.

iii) Outcome

Assessment Report of the current customization with the options and risks and make an informed decision on which route to take.
What’s required to successfully build an extension- Best practices, tips and tricks.
Upgrade or Modernize.

iv) Post Workshop

3 weeks after the workshop the Partner and the ISV Development Center connect online again to validate open questions

Train C/SIDE resources on the new development platform

The biggest hurdle in adoption of Business Central is the lack of comfort and expertise on the new development environment. There is always a natural resistance from the existing C/DSIDE resources. We have cross trained a lot of our own C/SIDE resources on AL and basis the experience we have curated a training program.

Upgrade factory

Applicable To: All Partners interested in BC

Upgrade from NAV to BC is not straight forward. It can be done in multiple ways. On one hand it requires migration of application code to AL in form of extensions and on the other hand moving the data through intelligent cloud.
